On his first CD (Blues Dancin’) Erskine played mostly songs he played in local club scene of St Louis. On this second Black and Tan album he tackled a much more varied and diverse repertoire. Next to covers of Johnny Watson, Percy Mayfield, BB King amongst others, Erskine wrote most of the material himself.
