new single David Philips

today we released a new single from David Philips:

David invites you to see things through optimistic, if rather idealistic eyes, in this positive take on quarantine and the effects it has had on the environment he lives in. During quarantine Barcelona went from being a polluted, smelly, noisy tourist trap to a quiet, peaceful, friendly village with clean air and happy wildlife. The song is about that. David knows it’s idealistic and unrealistic to think things could stay that way but hey, who said songs have to be realistic ? Except the drum track, which was lifted from an unreleased demo from 2017, the song was recorded and produced in his rooftop apartment in Barcelona, where David has spent the past few months writing and working on his bird artwork.

This new single is released digital only and available on all the download and streaming platforms.

Yesterday we released

B&T 970 – Boo Boo Davis – Dirt Road (single version)

This single is a little appetizer for the upcoming Boo Boo Davis album. After a string of single releases of famous blues covers on KuvVer Recors it’s now time again for Boo Boo to release a new and ‘all original’ album. Like most of the previous recordings with Boo Boo we captured everything live in one room without any overdubs. Ten brand new songs and one new version from a song that was released earlier in 2002. The title of the upcoming album is TREE MAN and it will be out on Black and Tan Records later this month just before Boo Boo’s upcoming European tour in March 2019.

Today we released the first single from an upcoming David Philips album

B&T 961 – David Philips – Home

November 2016 to March 2017 David Philips locked himself in his studio and spent the winter months writing and recording new material. Harking back to the  full band sound of his debut album, but with more grit, more electric guitar, more to say and a clearer idea of how to say it. Very much the studio loner David recorded and produced the whole record himself, playing all instruments and also designing the artwork. “Home” is the upbeat new single from this collection of recordings entitled simply “Winter” due out April 10 !
